The "Tomica 55th Anniversary Automobile Manufacturer Collaboration Project" is a dream project in which five automobile manufacturers, Toyota Motor Corporation, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Honda R&D Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, and Suzuki Motor Corporation, cooperate with each other to ask the designers of each company who are usually in charge of designing actual cars to come up with a special 55th anniversary design just for "Tomica."

Each company held an in-house competition to determine the design that would suit the most popular Tomica vehicles. Actual vehicles decorated with each design will also be on display at various events.
